    Responsibilities

    YOU'RE ON IT.

     

    You’re positive, attentive, responsive, dependable, personable, professional, and forward-thinking. You’re ON IT!   You're our next Senior Systems Administrator. You'll be reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, and in this role you'll be responsible for resolving challenging business and technical issues for a wide variety of clients. You'll do this over the phone, remotely and onsite while working with desktop, server, telephony and networking technologies.

     

    What Does an Senior System Administrator Do?

    • As a single point of contact provide an extreme customer service experience for a wide variety of clients
    • Support clients by spanning Tier 2 and 3 support responsibilities including engaging external partners or vendors to remediate client support needs
    • You’ll be an escalation point for our Infrastructure team, helping solve client issues to the best of your ability
    • Share knowledge and provide assistance across clients as needed
    • Maintain accurate and timely reporting of system status enabling you to propose relevant improvements to each client environment
    • Work to improve infrastructure processes
    • Develop and maintain technical materials as needed

    Qualifications

    What You'll Need to be On IT:

    • 7 to 10 years IT experience with an emphasis on Microsoft technologies
    • Previous consulting experience with Small and Medium size business clients
    • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012, Active Directory;
    • Experience configuring and troubleshooting a variety of Antivirus, Antispam and Backup software packages
    • Experience configuring and troubleshooting network connectivity, including inspection of routers and firewalls
    • You love a challenge and dig to get to the route of the problem
    • Multiple environments are where you thrive
    • Strong English language (oral and written) along with good organization skills
    • The ability to research and apply knowledge effectively
    • A valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle
    • Experience with VMware and Hyper-V
    • Proficiency in Citrix XenApp and Microsoft Office 365
    • Proficiency configuring and supporting mobile devices, including iPhone and Android
    • Experience with ITIL
    • Current Microsoft or Cisco certifications
    • Previous leadership experience as well as a Post-secondary degree, fast track program or equivalent are an asset
